Everything in your power to assure your customers of their safety.
I went on a mission yesterday. With danger at every turn, I was tense and on high alert. I was dressed for battle, masked, gloved, and prepared to hold my breath should things take an ugly turn. Thus prepared, I ventured into Target. In my sojourns, I have seen that many establishments are now spraying and wiping carts between customers, which is wonderful. However, yesterday was the first time I noticed that the employee currently tackling that particular project was wiping the entire cart. Not just the handle. Not just the toddler seat. But down inside the body of the cart. My heart literally danced in delight. (I jest. It danced metaphorically, or I’d presumably be in no condition to write this.)
There was also an employee making her way up and down the aisles in the refrigerator and freezer sections disinfecting all of the door handles. This might seem like a small thing to some, but I am impressed with their commitment. And while traditionally, heavy cleaning was something that establishments did when closed, or at least when customer flow was lightest, now is the time to blatantly disinfect. Thank you, Target, for taking steps to promote safety. And thank you for letting us see those steps.
After all, clean is the new sexy.
