Just Do Not..
In college, I would have insisted on my own maturity, my adulthood, my absolute ability to make the appropriate choice in any given situation. In hindsight, I was just beginning to become the person I am today. I was starting to learn to be an adult, and all of my choices were not stellar. For those of you who look back on your youth with similar adjustments in perception, this will doubtless make you blush with pride while recalling even your most cringeworthy youthful missteps. In an Alabama, in a magical college town called Tuscaloosa, students are throwing COVID-19 parties. Those known to have the virus are honored guests, and apparently wagers are taken on who will contract coronavirus first. It sounds fun, right? I, sadly, am years past inclusion in college parties, but I imagine longingly the fun of a nostalgic game of spin the bottle, or seven minutes in heaven, which I must assume are staples of such an event. No word yet on whether these events are catered or pot-luck, but when in doubt, a six pack and a bottle of Tide Pods are a welcome addition to any party.
